CS6 Launch Party

This month we have a super meeting so big, it has to be done on a Saturday. Teaming up with the Tampa Bay Creative Suite User Group, Tampa Adobe User Group, and the Tampa InDesign User Group there will be several presentations on the new features in the CS6 applications.

Aside from four hours of FREE demos, games and food, there will be many prizes including mouse pads, shirts, drink holders, buttons, stickers, books (some for CS6 that you can’t even buy yet along with plenty for those who still have yet to upgrade) and a copy of the Adobe Creative Suite CS6 Design and Web Premium. This is not a meeting to be missed. For all of members who have had trouble attending the Thursday night meetings. Here is your chance to win big!

The Schedule
  • 1:00pm – Welcome and Introduction to CS6
  • 1:15pm – Photoshop CS6
    Photoshop CS6 – UI enhancements – showing off the new dark UI, as well as the impact of the Mercury Graphics engine on things like Liquify, the new blur filters, the oil paint filter and how it resurrected the lighting effects filter. If we have time, we’ll also show some of the more significant workflow tweaks to the Crop tool, Layers panel, and the Adjustment / Properties panels.
  • 1:30pm – InDesign CS6
    We’ll explore the new tools and dialog boxes in Indesign CS6
  • 1:45pm – Illustrator CS6
    We’ll look at the new interface and faster processing speeds, the new live trace and gradients in strokes and the new pattern creation options.
  • Grab some food & drinks
  • 2:45pm – InDesign CS6
    We’ll be demonstrating the new Text frame options and abilities that will expedite your layouts.
  • 3:15pm – Illustrator CS6
    We’ll be going over some exciting new features of Illustrator CS6 as well as cool new techniques.

    We’ll delve into the new and enhanced content aware features including the new Skin Tone Aware Selections and Masking features, the Adaptive Wide Angle filter, Intelligent Auto Corrections, the greatly enhanced Patch tool, and the new Content Aware Move tool.

    Darn! I won’t be there. I have a prior training commitment I can’t break. I can’t be in two places at once. Otherwise, this is not an event to miss.

    For anybody else sitting on the fence I’d say just go, you won’t regret it.
